A disturbed man broods over a family tragedy and plots revenge against the one he believes caused the tragedy. In a small town radio station, Barbara Palittere, the local disk jockey playing 60’s and 70’s music, is asked by a detective to help determine the meaning behind the lettering of a famous group of the 70’s found on a dead woman’s body. As other homicides and attempted killings occur, the cop and the D.J. discover the link to the killer’s taunting clues in the group’s song lyrics with all connecting to the shooting at the Kent State University campus in the early 70’s. Finally, it becomes apparent that the disk jockey is the real target of the angry man and a broadcasted challenge leads the killer to seek his redress.
